A Runner’s Journey

After 2014 RnRAfter 26 years of running for both leisure and competitively, I have two major injuries to my knee. During my competitive years I didn’t miss a race for injuries. I was never on the “sidelines” so to speak. In addition to basketball and volleyball, I ran track and cross country.

I have had knee pain for quite some time and finally decided to get it checked out. These injuries come after many years of wear and tear with a genetic issue as well. At this age, I am pretty amazed at my diagnosis and my prognosis, but I am determined to get back on the pavement.

This section of my blog will journal my runner’s journey back to good health and running condition. I hope that it will encourage and inspire anyone else who has challenges and obstacles to overcome. I think I’m also hoping that on my rough days, this blog serves as a source of encouragement for inspiration for myself as well.
